Let's Work International caters for peak periods for Homifreez

Homifreez from Ardooie processes and packs high-quality frozen vegetables and exports these products worldwide. Hoflack: "We buy fresh vegetables from our own country and from abroad. They are washed, cut and blanched before being frozen. At the customer's request, the vegetables are also packaged and, if necessary, mixed for export."

The harvest dictates our production

Because we work with fresh vegetables, we have to deal with periods of calm and with peak periods. During the harvest season, for example, it is very busy. That is why we need 20 extra people in the autumn. But finding the right profiles to handle those peaks is not easy. Our company operates around the clock. That is why we work with a rotating 3-shift system. In that way, we keep in touch with our employees. But for many candidates for employment the shift system seems to be an obstacle. Just as working in cold temperatures. That puts people off.

Foreign employees are also welcome

Let's Work International helps us to cope with busy times with foreign workers. In the high season, that number quickly rises to 25-30 people. The most common obstacle for people from abroad is the language barrier. Difficult communication is a stumbling block to good long-term cooperation.

Away with language barriers

Let's Work International recognises this problem and only presents candidates who know French or Dutch or who are prepared to learn the language. This is a good thing, because we would rather have a few candidates who already know French or Dutch than a lot of candidates who only speak Romanian or a little English. This guarantees better cooperation in the long term. As a company, we are also willing to be flexible when it comes to language integration. If, for example, someone wants to work the night shift for a while in order to follow Dutch lessons during the day, then that is possible for a certain period of time.

Let's Work International: close to the client

It is important that Let's Work listens to our needs for an efficient screening of the candidates. Because motivated people in the right job stay longer. Together, we build a long-term relationship. Moreover, Let's Work helps new employees find housing close to the company, often within a 10-15 km radius. This facilitates commuting and promotes flexibility, for example if replacements are needed.
