Finger-wagging Daniela flourishes as pharmacy assistant with Farmazorg
Daniela Pencu is an ambitious lady who followed the Pharmacy Assistant course at the High School in Romania. In 2015, she came to Belgium to build a better future for herself. She stepped into the office of Let's Work International in Roeselare and spoke there in her native language to Laura. Daniela: "I could immediately start working as a quality controller at Soliver in Rumbeke. This glass producer for the car industry makes car windows for Porsche, Audi, Mercedes, etc. After a few weeks working there on an interim basis, I got a permanent contract. I worked for Soliver for one and a half years and during that period I followed an intensive year-long Dutch course.
Further training in Dutch and as Pharmacy Assistant
After her pregnancy, busy Daniela followed the 'Pharmacy Assistant' course at Syntra. She did an internship at a pharmacy in Ardooie and knocked again on the door of Let's Work looking for her dream job. Let's Work International consulted the offices in the vicinity and quickly found a match between Daniela and Farmazorg, a pharmacy group with 4 pharmacies (Oudenburg, Oostende, Loppem, Bruges) and a large production centre in Oudenburg. Farmazorg's customers are residential care centres from all over Flanders, penitentiary institutions and other pharmacies. Farmazorg now supplies medication to more than 50 residential care centres on a daily basis. Daniela started in January on an interim basis, but after a six week contract she was offered a permanent contract. Daniela: "I am very happy in my job.
Daniela convinced with her application
CEO Farmazorg Philippe de Dijcker: "We see candidates for the job of pharmacy assistant every week. The tasks consist of preparing medication and orders, manually filling the robot line and stock management. The job is quite unique in the sector because our pharmacy assistants work behind the scenes in the production centre in Oudenburg. They do not come into the offices and do not have direct contact with customers. I still remember Daniela's application well. She came in with an attitude of 'This is going to be my job. This is what I want.' The passion was visible in her eyes."
Error-free, fast and involved
Philippe de Dijcker: "Our selection procedure consists of two parts: an interview and a one-hour test. During this test, we check whether the candidates have mastered the operation, can work without errors and at a good tempo. Focus and commitment are also important in this job, because a human error can have major consequences. We often see new employees make a sudden leap forwards after working with us for a month. This was also the case with Daniela."
Daniela loves her job
Daniela: "Time flies here. I am always busy. I mainly prepare medication for residential care centres: 1 tray per patient with all the medication for 1 week. That means a great deal of responsibility. Staying alert and focused is crucial to avoid making mistakes, because we work with medicines. The contact with my colleagues is good and there is a family atmosphere on the work floor."
Let's Work knows us through and through
Philippe: "Let's Work is one of our most important recruitment partners: from Let's Work Bruges to Let's Work International, the cooperation between us is based on trust. The added value of Let's Work? They know us through and through, and only send us people who really fit in with our company: customer-focused, committed and friendly team players. Moreover, Let's Work also introduces people proactively when they see a good match."
